A Trip to the Pantanal, in Brazil

Imagine an area about twice the present size of England, as an African savannah at the height of summer, and as an infinite water lake, with no signs of human presence and few signs of plant life, most of the year.

Imagine a place with 650 species of birds, 260 species of fish (like catfish weighing up to 260 pounds), an unknown number of species of butterflies, and caimans, anacondas, capybaras (the largest rodent in the world), agoutis (and other rodents), tapirs, wild pigs, jaguars, pumas, anteaters, ocelots, giant otters, armadillos, several species of monkeys, including the Capuchins, and dozens of other rare animals.

Iguazu: Amid a series of spectacular waterfalls of tropical forests in southern Brazil. It is 275 cataracts stretching two miles with a height of 300 feet. Every second, 450,000 gallons of water tumbling down the waterfall. You can take a walk along the walkways, take a boat to the foot of the waterfall, or fly by helicopter headed. If you can, spend the night at the grave, so please take pictures at different times of the day can. Many customers spend a night on the Argentine side of the falls and a night on the Brazilian side.
