Buzios was made famous in the sixties when Brigette Bardot named it as her favourite beach retreat.

Buzios also is the home of the delightful luxury boutique hotel called the Casas Brancas, which is a real romantic hideaway getaway.

The Casas Brancas, which was built in the 1970′s, is real old school charm is terraced into a hillside overlooking the bay of Buzios and has only 32 individually decorated rooms and Suites.

There are 3 oceanfront Suites with large private balconies, considerably more room than the Deluxe rooms. The suites would impress on a romantic getaway package!! Meals are taken overlooking the Bay of Buzios, and the restaurant serves a Brazilian Meditteranean fusion.

Buzios is famous for its beaches so you might do well to hire a car, although many of the famous beaches are within walking distance

There are few more romantic spots in Brazil than Buzios, and no better spot for a romantic getaway than the luxury boutique hotel that is the Casas Brancas.

In 1649, the Dutchman Matthias Beck built fort Schoonenborch, that some years later would be called Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora de Assuncao, initial landmark of Fortaleza, which in 1823 was elevated to a city status by the Imperator Dom Pedro I. Later, when Province of the Ceara was separated from the Province of Pernambuco, Fortaleza became Ceara’s capital city, which now a days is the fourth biggest city in Brazil, with a population more than 2400 000 people.

Our firs stop was in Fortaleza. Fortaleza is the city of contrasts. Modern Metropolis has beautiful beaches, green bluish sea, and wind is always blowing. The most famous to see there are Iracema, Futuro and Beira-Mar beaches. Every beach has its own charm and unique things to see and enjoy. SolNascente Coast (east) awaits you with amazing smaller cities, fishermen’s villages and superb beaches as Caponga, Morro Branco and Praia das Fontes, with their fresh water fountains and the beautiful craft done with colored sand from the colorful sand cliffs that surround those spectacular beaches. It also has the Majorlandia and Canoa Quebrada white sand beaches, known and famous all over the world. SolPoente Coast (west) is the route of sun, cashew fazendas, sea and magic.
Some of the most popular stops there would be Cumbuco, Taiba, Paracuru and famous Jericoacoara, considered one of the most beautiful beaches of the world, find some great properties at www.holidayhomes.ca/search/brazil.html.

Most tourists who visit Brazil decide to travel to Rio de Janeiro, the former capital of Brazil, a fascinating and exotic town.

People who travel to Brazil for the first time grow amazed with its beautiful and diverse landscape, which includes hills, mountains, savannas, rainforests and a long coastline. The Amazon rainforest covers most of the North of Brazil. If you travel to Rio de Janeiro, you will find there the two largest forests in the world inside an urban area: Parque Estadual da Pedra Blanca (White Stone State Park) and Floresta da Tijuca (Tijuca forest).

Brazilian culture is under the impact of a variety of traditions, as you will see if you travel to Brazil. The results of Portuguese influence are the language spoken in Brazil (Portuguese), the Romanic-German legal system and architectural styles.

The European influence (mainly Italian and German) is visible in the South and Southeast of Brazil; Amerindian influence is perceptible in the traditional cuisine and the African influence is observable in Brazil’s music, dance and religion. Brazil holds many attractions for the curious and fun-loving tourists.

Brazil was a colony of Portugal from the landing of Pedro Alvares Cabral in 1500 until its independence in 1822. Brazil’s climate has little seasonal variation since most of the country is located within the tropics. Brazil’s production and consumption of biodiesel relative to its energy matrix is expected to reach to 2% of diesel fuel in 2008 and 5% in 2013. Brazil has the largest population of Italian origin outside of Italy, with over 25 million Italian Brazilians, the largest Japanese population outside of Japan, with 1.

Brazil continues to pursue industrial and agricultural growth and development of its interior. Brazil has had to be bailed out in times of economic crisis, but reforms in the 1990s, including privatisations, brought some financial stability. Brazil is the giant of South America with nearly half of the continent’s area and people; worldwide it ranks fifth in both area and population, which is as diverse as it is large.

Brazil has one of the most advanced industrial sectors in Latin America. Brazil’s vast territory covers a great variety of land and climate, for although Brazil is mainly in the tropics (it is crossed by the equator in the north and by the Tropic of Capricorn in the south), the southern part of the great central upland is cool and yields the produce of temperate lands. Brazil is South America’s biggest and most influential country and takes up almost half the continent.

Brazilas air transportation system has been in disarray since accidents with fatalities occurred in September 2006 and July 2007. Brazilians see time as something outside their control and the demands of relationships takes precedence over adhering to a strict schedule. Brazilian law requires that for all travel, Brazilian children (including dual nationals) must carry a letter of consent from the non-travelling parent(s) authorising travel.

The Brazilian population is concentrated along the coastline and in a few large urban centers in the interior. Sugar became by far the most important Brazilian colonial product until the early 18th century. Portugal would recognize Brazil as an independent country in 1825. The legal system is bases on the Federal Constitution, promulgated on October 5, 1988, and is the fundamental law of Brazil.

The Northeast region is inhabited by about 30% of Brazil’s population. Most of Brazil has moderate rainfall of 1,000 to 1,500 millimeters a year, with most of the rain falling in the summer (between December and April), south of the Equator.
